The 16 Scientific Councils of AHA/ASA Professional Membership contribute to the association’s mission by attracting, developing and retaining top science volunteers. Our members serve as a source of information to develop credible, accurate cardiovascular and stroke science.
Scientific Councils have established programs to serve the science community, highlight research and reward significant accomplishments in cardiovascular disease and stroke. Among these many programs are the Early Career Development Program, Distinguished Achievement Awards, and Named Lectures.
